Duties

Service and tune bikes to a high standard of quality and with high productivity following the steps below...

Take direction from our service writers and help to fill gaps with them
Be able to carry bikes and get them into workstands
Run tune ups on bikes according to both our and the industries standards
Run cables / mount various components / true wheels / adjust brakes and drivetrain / check fasteners / make bike good as new
Document work, communicate with customers, follow through.

Wrenches are responsible for servicing all the bikes that come through our doors. Depending on experience, wrenches will start out cleaning bikes and will work their way up to tuning the latest and greatest of bikes on the market. Tools and required equipment will be supplied by the shop, and we will expect you to keep care and be responsible for these tools.

Requirements

Experience as a bicycle mechanic or bike builder is preferred but we will train the right person.
Excellent reliability. Proven experience showing up to work day to day on time is a must.
Good communication skills. Bike building is an integral part of our process and you will be in the middle of many moving parts. Communicating progress and timelines as well as following directions will be critical to your success.
Ability to concentrate on your task all day. This job requires 8 hours of solid attention, on your feet, day in and day out.
The ability to lift 50 pounds head high.
Enthusiasm for bicycles is certainly preferred.
